Jaylen Brown attended the 2024 ESPY Awards on Thursday and added another trophy to his collection.

The Celtics star beat out Michigan's Blake Corum and Will Johnson (College Football National Championship MVPs), Kayla Martello (Boston College Women's Lacrosse), and NJ/NY Gotham FC's Midge Purce (NSWL Championship MVP) to win the trophy for "Best Championship Performance." Brown is the 2024 Eastern Conference Finals MVP and the NBA Finals MVP.

Jayson Tatum Nominated for "Best NBA Player"

The Dallas Mavericks' Luka Doncic won the title of "Best NBA Player," defeating Brown's teammate Jayson Tatum's nomination.

Throughout the NBA Finals, Brown averaged 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists to help the Celtics defeat the Mavericks in a five-game series. Throughout the series, the three-time All-Star also displayed great defense, stopping Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic, two of Dallas' biggest players.

Perfect Timing for Recognition

The timing of Brown's most recent honor couldn't have been more ideal. The 27-year-old appears to have expressed his disappointment at not being selected for the US men's national squad this year. Following the finest season of his NBA career, his exclusion from the team raised some eyebrows.

The "Best Team" honor has the Celtics on the nomination list.
